Learning Goal: We will learn about how plants develop and respond to their environment, and make seeds.

1. Review answers to Flower Reproduction worksheet 

2. What are the parts of a seed? How do seeds travel?Discuss with your elbow partner.

3. Design a Seed: First draw a diagram of your seed in your science notebook. Be sure to label the three parts of the seed. Second, build your seed with the materials provided. Third, write a description of how your seed travels in your notebook.

4. When you finish, work on any unfinished work and/or study the quizlet below:

Pretend you are a seed.  Write a story about your journey to find a good place to grow.  You need to fill up a full page with writing.  Title your journal Page- A Seed's Journey.  Draw a small picture of you as this seed on the next page.  If you can, include the name of your seed.  This will be graded, do your best work and be creative.

  • Tape the Photosynthesis worksheet to page 57 of your notebook.
  • Work with your table group to answer the questions on the worksheet.
